Some of our endorsements

“Thanks to David’s advice and input (along

with a few other amazingly knowledgeable people), and the resources and people of Fossil Free South Africa, our fund

was launched 18 months ago and is performing well, even though SASOL is excluded from it.”

– Diaan Janse van Rensburg (Managing Director at Naviga Solutions)

“The group has served as a credible source of information for my reporting. They’re a true David versus Goliath
story – taking on the big polluters while raising awareness about the climate crisis – and that should continue to
be supported.”

– Lameez Omarjee (Climate reporter at News24)

“I would like to provide my own and my organisation’s endorsement for the work of Fossil Free
South Africa (FFSA). Our organisations work towards similar goals, and having FFSA as a partner
organisation has proved invaluable to our own work.”

– Glen Tyler (South African Team Leader at

“Fossil Free SA has been playing a major role in supporting the divestment initiative at Wits
University since early 2020. The initiative is making important inroads on this issue and
generating debates among the university leadership at the highest levels.
I and the whole divestment organizing group at Wits value the inputs of David on our work.
It is clear that Fossil Free SA is making a significant contribution to the struggle against the
continued influence of the fossil fuel industry in South Africa. The organization clearly merits
support and strong recognition for its continued work.”

– Matthew F. Chersich, MBBCh (Wits), MSc (LSHTM), PhD (U. Ghent) (Research Professor)

“As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional, director of a licensed financial services provider

and someone who cares deeply about our natural environment, I’ve come to think of David and

Fossil Free SA as Earth Knights playing a meaningful part in the most important battle in human

He and his team are invaluable to both planet and future proofing industry.”
